Mertxenea in Elkano is a good starting point for sightseeing in Navarre because it is in the center, just like Pamplona. For the purposes is the same as starting from Pamplona.
At 9 km by a good road, we will accede in Huarte-Pamplona to the variant, from which to link with any road:
It takes 1 hour by car to arrive to San Sebastián-Donostia by the beautiful motorway of Leizarán, to Vitoria-Gasteiz, to Logroño and in a comfortable travelling by highways also.
It also takes 1 hour to get to Zarautz, Hendaia and France.
And less than an hour will cost to get to Elizondo, Zugarramurdi, Roncesvalles…
To the east, we have Aoiz to 10 minutes, Sangüesa to half an hour and we will arrive to Roncal and Isaba approximately in an hour also.
To the south, Tafalla and Olite to half an hour, and Tudela to an hour.
